Putting the unusual spins on popular tunes, the band gained a following which included Carly Simon, wHO recommended they play Caroline Kennedy's hymeneals. That gig seemed like a practiced stopping tip, as Cohn leftfield the band to once again focus on his have songs. He sent a piano/vocal demo to Atlantic Records and landed himself a apportion and from there he co-produced his debut with Ben Wisch with some aid from John Leventhal. What emerged was a attractively neat and intelligent album that included the score "Walking in Memphis" and won Cohn a Grammy Award for Best New Artist. The Rainy Season followed in 1993 and was a thematic complement to Cohn's debut. Folks like David Crosby and Graham Nash stepped up to the mic to impart their vocal support to this soulful new endowment. Cohn was quiet for respective long time until 1998 with the spillage of Burning the Daze. Once over again, the guests seamed up to look with Cohn. Famed Hollywood publicist Warren Cowan dead at 87

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Legendary Hollywood publicist Warren Cowan, whose clients included Ronald Reagan, Elizabeth Taylor, Paul Newman and Frank Sinatra, died at age 87 after a fight with cancer, a spokeswoman said on Thursday.

A pioneer of entertainment publicity and a co-founder of the firm Rogers & Cowan, he died on Wednesday night at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center with family members at his side. Cowan had been diagnosed with cancer three weeks earlier.

In a career that lasted more than 60 years, Cowan's client list included a who's who of Hollywood.

In addition to Newman, Taylor and Sinatra, he represented Cary Grant, Danny Kaye, Kirk Douglas, Tony Curtis, Shirley MacLaine, Elton John, Doris Day, Gene Kelly, Lucille Ball, Judy Garland, Steve McQueen, Natalie Wood, Robert Wagner and Joan Crawford.

Cowan's client roster also included actors-turned-politicians Reagan and Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Reagan used to joke that had Cowan done a better job for his acting career he would never have had to go into politics.

He left Rogers & Cowman in 1992 and formed his own company two years later.

Where will Minnie Driver give birth?

Minnie Driver is unsure where to give birth.

The actress is torn between delivering her baby - which is believe to be due in August - in her native UK or the US, where she spends most of her time.

A source revealed: “Minnie’s facing a real dilemma.

“She has become very attached to America. A big part of her would be very happy to have her child there as it’s her adopted home.

“But equally, she has a strong emotional attachment to England, and likes the ideas of her baby being born a proper Brit.

“She’s not sure what to do.”

A friend of the 38-year-old actress recently revealed she is considering a water birth.

The pal said: "She’s thinking about using a birthing pool and has been speaking about all the different places that it could go in her house."

Minnie is refusing to name the baby’s father, but has quashed speculation it is musician Craig Zolezzi.

She said: "He's my great friend and he's been so cool about it. I want to shield the baby's dad as much as I can because it wasn't his choice to get roped into all this stuff."

The Good Will Hunting star would only say the mystery man is British, "sort of in the same business and really busy".

Lily Allen - Allen Delighted With Topless Photos

British pop star LILY ALLEN is delighted topless shots of her partying in Cannes, France made the front pages of many British newspapers last week (ends18May08) - because the pictures were a dream come true.

The Smile singer was snapped relaxing in only a pair of blue bikini bottoms at a French resort during the Cannes Film Festival - and her semi-naked form made headlines.

Several British tabloids, including The Sun, have topless women on page three of their newspaper every day - and the star admits she was very pleased to officially become a Page Three girl.

She says, "I didn't know they were on the front pages of newspapers! I thought I was a Page Three girl. It's like: 'Lily, 23, from London.' Finally!

"My new manager left a message on my assistant's phone, saying, 'Uh, I don't know if you know, but Lily's boobs are all over the newspapers.' It's only taking a bikini top off. I've got nothing to be ashamed of about my body. We've all got them."

And Allen admits she's only at the French film festival to support her father Keith, who is showcasing his documentary There Are Dark Forces, which is about late British royal Diana, Princess of Wales.

She adds, "To be honest, I'm not here for Cannes, I'm here for this party, to see my dad's film and then go back home again."

Ben Affleck - Affleck Jets Off To The Sudan To Gain More Knowledge

BEN AFFLECK was so worried his views on the crisis in the Sudan would not be enough to spark change in the region he jetted off to Africa to get a closer look.

The movie star has just returned from a fact-finding trip to the Sudan after adopting the refugee problem and ongoing war in the area as a new cause.

United Nations officials advised Affleck to scrap his plans to fly to the war zone, telling him he would be putting his life at risk.

Speaking about his decision to follow in the footsteps of stars like George Clooney and Don Cheadle, the Daredevil star has told CNN, "I got really interested in southern Sudan for a number of reasons. I think it's a fascinating place going through some really hard times.

"I wanted to really feel like I understood the place and learn as much as I could about it, before I got into trying to be an advocate and kind of running my mouth about it.

"I got into doing some learning, talking to experts, travelling there."

Unshaved and tired, Affleck told CNN he has been left scarred by what he witnessed on his trip: "It was terrible. I've never seen anything like it."
